      Many of us are looking for time away from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives. We schedule holidays to escape, and sneak out for a spa day away from home and work for that quick-fix break. What if you could plan a holiday and enjoy more than a day at a spa?

The Spa, at Sandals Dunn's River in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, offers just that. Sandals has taken six of their premier resorts around the Caribbean, and turned them into "Sandals Signature Spa Collections." These are high-end resorts, which not only offer the ultimate in spa services, but also world class restaurants and lavish beachfront rooms and suites, with elevated guest services.

The Spa is a full-service European Spa, offering massages from Swedish to Shiatsu, facials, hydrotherapy, paraffin treatments, body scrubs and wraps and more. The Spa offers an unusually wide array of treatments, with over 30 options to choose from. Pevonia products are used in the spa's treatments, and available for sale in the spa's boutique.

Salon services such as manicures, pedicures, waxing, hairstyling and make-up are all available. If you are a bride, your appointed bridal consultant, will help schedule spa appointments for your special day, such as make-up, hair and massages. The spa also offers couples massages, and a four-handed massage with two masseuses to massage your aching body.

Try the mud bath, which uses Moor mud. This mud has been used for centuries to rejuvenate the vitality of your skin. The seaweed bath, known to eliminate toxins, complete with face, neck and shoulder massage is also an essential treatment to try. If your body wants a scrub'n, then try the "Salt Glo Exfoliation Treatment" as a pre treatment, before you head for the sun, or even a massage. It feels great to shed your old skin and leave your body feeling silky smooth.

Spa treatments are not inclusive with the resort package, and pricing is available upon arrival. An 80 minute massage sampler, which includes three different techniques, will run you around $120 US. If you want your massage on the beach, an additional fee will be applied. A scrub will run you around $69 for a 35-minute treatment.
