Skin Care Review: Kiss My Face

Kiss My Face Skin Care Review       If you like your products to smell great then Kiss My Face is the skin care line for you. We have yet to try a Kiss My Face product that doesn't smell amazing. Some of the products can smell a bit overwhelming (especially the hand soaps) and therefore may not great for hyper-sensitive skin.

Although they say that their products are 100% natural, many of them contain potentially harmful and irritating ingredients such as Sodium Laurel Sulfate, so make sure to read the ingredients. If it doesn't sound natural, it's probably not. That said, here are our reviews of the products they sent us:

Botanical Acne Gel - This is the only acne gel I have ever tried that smells good. It didn't dry my skin like other acne creams and wasn't noticable after it dried (which took about 10 minutes) so you could wear it to bed with your boyfriend and not be embarrased because there's no way he would think you were wearing an acne treatment. There is peppermint oil in it, which can irritate and/or dry sensitive skin and did give mine a cooling/burning sensation.

Kiss My Face Skin Care Review Alpha-Hydroxy Fruit Acid Moisturizer - Quite strong smelling (like Peaches & Cream.) Did a good job of moisturizing my dry skin and absorbing quickly without leaving any greasy after-feeling. My skin felt soft and supple after using this product.

Gentle Face Cleanser (Normal/Dry) - Smells amazing--like rose with a hint of lavender. Works well as a cream cleanser but I felt the need to use a lot of it because it is such a thin liquid. The cleanser left my skin only slightly less dry than usual.

Kiss My Face Skin Care Review Exfoliating Face Wash - Does not scrub your face, as was expected. Instead it uses 5% AHA to gently exfoliate, and it did! My face felt exfoliated but with less irritation than might have occured with a scrub exfoliant. It works well as a daily facial cleanser and has a refreshing lime smell. One drawback is that it made my face feel like it was burning if I left it on longer than a minute or so.

Liquid Hand Soap (Pear or Peach) - Contains Sodium Laurel Sulfate, which we do not agree with using in any products, let alone so-called "Natural" products. Smells overwhelmingly sweet but has a nice, creamy texture.

Aromatherapeutic Shower Gel - Again, contains Sodium Laurel Sulfate. Strong smelling but some scents (like Patchouille) are very relaxing.

Peaches & Cream Body Moisturizer - This extremely heavily scented body moisturizer would be good for anyone who wanted to smell like a peach all day but not good for those with sensetive skin.

A,C&E Eye Opener - A light moisture cream that absorbs quickly into the skin. We would recommend it for daytime use. A heavier cream would be better for night time.
