This area rug begins with an oatmeal background against a smattering of tastefully designed flowers with ferns, scattered to give a whimsical classic Americana feel. The hooked construction gives this rug the simplicity of an early-American design.

The bright exuberant colours of the Clementine rug scream center of interest. This exciting rug would look best with neutral colours; beige, white, off-white, or eggshell. Pairing this rug with a harvest table would bring the look together beautifully, recreating that early American feel that the rug is emulating. Pulling the strong colors out of this rug for accents will spruce up any room and give it a traditional feel.
Another funky rug is the Chelsea (bottom), this rug has a special blend of wool and rayon, making it incredibly soft and subtle. The rayon has slight shimmer bringing texture and depth to its geometric design. Composed of concentric cubes, its artistic design creates fun eye candy for your family and house guests. This rug carries such striking bold colors, it would be recommended that you use simple neural colors to furnish, along with dramatic wood pieces in a fresh mahogany stain. It does not restrict you with a particular style, which is great when adding to your decor.
The Henley area rug (top photo) is the last of three that we investigated. A variegated weave and tonal border lends depth to the wool construction, available in taupe or green and in four sizes (3x5 to 8x10). This rug breathes cool sophistication and contemporary style. If this is your look, the Henley ($99. to $449.) is perfect for you. This rug is a two tone neutral colour which means that you are able to match it with pretty much anything. Whether it is bright vibrant colours or a neutral sofa, the ideas are endless.
Remember to just have fun while decorating. It is all about making your home look as beautiful and comfortable as you want it to. Don't stress--it's not worth it--just have fun with it!
