The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown is what I simply call a masterpiece. Dan Brown combines the essential elements of a rollercoaster-ride, fast-paced story, a murder, and a cryptic puzzle. He then tops it all off with suspense to spare. A hidden secret at every turn, this is a must-read that I couldn't put down!
Robert Langdon is a Harvard symbologist who is in Paris for business when he suddenly finds himself summoned to a crime scene. The Louvre's curator, Jacques Sauniere has been slain in a brutal murder and has left behind a cryptic puzzle that he must decipher before it's too late! Along the ride he meets Sophie Neveu, a talented and gorgeous (of course) French cryptologist who also must help solve the puzzle. Oh—-and she also happens to be the granddaughter of the murdered curator. Together they must put their heads together to figure out the many clues and puzzles that Jacques Sauniere has left for them—-and fast! They are in danger, and so is the rest of the world, if they don't hurry. To add to the intrigue is the mysterious (and quite uncanny) connection to world-famous artist Leonardo Da Vinci and his works.
Astonishingly well-researched, The Da Vinci Code is more than a thrilling read. Entwined in a fast-paced plotline are an accurate account of places, historical facts and people. Dan Brown has written an intelligent and thrilling novel that will get your adrenaline running.
Haven't read a good book in a long while? The Da Vinci Code is the ultimate satisfaction for anyone. The answer to the puzzle will leave you breathless.
