Victoria's Secret Models Take Over Giles Deacon!

Following the successful Prada Fall-Winter show in Milan where voluptuous lingerie models of Victoria's Secret have walked the runway along with the brand's resident models, Giles Deacon has also sought the "closer-to-real-woman" curves of Victoria's Secret Angels for his Fall 2010 RTW show.

Curvaceous and tans, the sexy line-up includes Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Ana Beatriz Barros, Izabel Goulart, Coco Rocha, Carmen Kass, Angela Lindvall, and Jessica Stam. Karolina Kurkova opened the fashion show while Alessandra Ambrosio closed it with a lovely spider-inspired cocktail dress, worn with a black coat.

But the show-stopper was not a gorgeous model, curvy or emaciated. It was the giant furry bag with eyes, shaped just like the giant bouffant of the models.

Fancy Gloves For Your Winter Jackets

Spice up your favorite winter jackets with fancy gloves and mittens!

Variations of these gloves were eye-catching on the runways of New York Fashion Week yesterday. Famous are the long pair of gloves by Donna Karan that featured a chunky metal bracelet and flower-shape cutouts creating a lacy-leather effect, the lime-green furry mittens of Chris Benz, and Carolina Herrera's just-below-the-elbow gloves with apple-red patent leather and suede.

This V-Day, Say "I Love Me!"

Valentine's Day can be seriously troublesome for single ladies. Even if you love being single, all the PDAs, love stories and "go find your own someone" comments are major vexation.

Cheer up, girl. It's still the universal day of love and that love includes you. So if you have nobody to share the day with, give your self some TLC and say, "I love me!"

Try these lovely stuffs that will not leave you missing out on the indulgence that V-Day has to offer:

1. Lingerie

If you think that a sexy lingerie will not make sense if you have no lover to impress, that just sucks! Wear your new lingerie, stand in front of the mirror, and marvel at the sight of your body. What beautiful creation the world has created especially for you!

2. Hot Dress

Why not make any guy, single or taken, drool over your hot stuff? Wear a hot dress and hit the town with your sexy gait. The confidence you get from wearing an adorable, feminine dress will make heads turn - and guarantees you a string of admirers from V-Day onwards.

3. Jewels

Single ladies, go buy and put your own ring... and necklace, watch, bracelet, earring. Jewels are perfect personal items. They're beautiful. They're status symbol. They command attention and awe. And they're all yours.

4. Vibrators

Just because you're alone does not mean you can't have a good time. These toys are discreet, first time toys for sexual girls. If you're dying for something more endowed, browse over the web for a large selection of the modern girls' new BFF.

These Alexander McQueen Alien Shoes Actually Sell!

Ok. So Lady Gaga was the first celebrity to wear one of these lobster-claws. It turned out, however, that Alexander McQueen had been inundated with calls from women who want to own a pair of these crazy footwear even before Lady Gaga debuted it on her video (below). It all started after the live web streaming of the recent Alexander McQueen's catwalk show.

These lobster-claws are actually called Alien shoes. They are 10 inches high and they are part of the designer's spring 2010 collection. Apparently, they are on the current must-have list of shoe freaks and some even want to buy them as "art pieces."

"We've had lots of people showing great interest in the show's shoes... The process used to create the Alien shoes is very innovative and protected by copyright," says a McQueen spokesperson.

While the Alien shoes are designed for the rich, famous, and fashion-forward (and crazy), the label is auctioning off the sample pairs that appeared on the catwalk for charity:

"We are considering organizing a charity auction as the best way to offer them to the public."

Hola, Rise Of The Merkins!

Merkins, actually a socially acceptable term for vagina wigs, are gaining mainstream popularity these days as one of the kinkiest fashion accessories for women.

Merkins were originally used as cover ups for genital sores of prostitutes in the 15th Century. Later, they were worn in filming movies to avoid full frontals and yeah, lower MPAA ratings. (FYI: Kate Winslet wore a merkin in The Reader to increase her amount of pubic hair.)

Today, merkins are making a comeback to accessorize that sexy, delicate part of your body. As they say, merkins offer fashionable options when feeling "a bit chilly or need to go all out for a really special occasion."

Says one merkin lover:

"I don't know how we got along without them as an integral part of our wardrobes. In fact, I can think of hundreds of ways to incorporate the merkin into any and all of my outfits. Night out with the girls? Sequined merkin. Day at the park? Turf merkin (000 matchy matchy). Interview? Tweed merkin (perhaps a tad scratchy)."

Keffiyeh Fashion Symbolizes Jihad?

The keffiyeh is one of today's latest fashion accessories. However, there have been recent objections to its use, claiming that the use of scarfs that resemble the keffiyeh symbolizes pro-Palestinian jihad.

The keffiyeh is a traditional Arab headdress. Later, it inspires the version of a scarf that is hang around the neck. Usually in black and white or red and white, the keffiyeh has become one of fashion's latest accessories. Interested in political symbolisms or not, the keffiyeh has been a chic fashion accessory especially among young Westerners.

In Australia, wearing of keffiyeh has become a source of harassment for some, as people believed that they carry anti-Jewish sentiments. A Jewish-owned clothing label is even criticized for advertising keffiyehs which are regarded as symbol of Arab terrorist movements.

Amidst all the clamors, Jewish community leaders have said that the reaction is unwarranted.

“Most people would be unaware of its connotation for Muslims and Jews, and it’s therefore, clearly being worn as a fashion item. If people choose to wear one for whatever reason, that is their choice.”

So if you love wearing those trendy keffiyeh fashion accessories but fears for your dear life as it is said to symbolize Jihad, take it from the Jewish leaders themselves – wearing of keffiyeh is a non-issue.
