Brangelina Gets Back To Splitsville Gossipers

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have finally responded to split claims.

Setting an example for those who spread gossips about their broken marriage, the Hollywood supercouple is suing British tabloid News of the World for reporting that they are considering a multi-million-pound split.

The weekly News of the World has reported last month that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie visited a lawyer in December and made a deal on dividing their assets and access to their children.

Being one of Britain's biggest-selling papers which regularly publishes scoops about celebrities, the tabloid's story has been quickly picked up by other media outlets all over the world (like this news above from InTouch magazine).

Keith Schillings of Schillings Lawyers has said in a statement on Monday that Brangelina started a legal action against the News of The World newspaper. Meanwhile, the British tabloid made no comment but has already removed the controversial article on their site.

Business as usual, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have appeared together (with their son Maddox) in public at Sunday's Super Bowl professional football championship in the United States - cheering for the triumphant New Orleans Saints, smiling and laughing while being photographed - much to the surprised of splitsville gossipers.

Angelina Jolie Writes To President Obama

Since becoming a UN Goodwill Ambassador in 2001, Angelina Jolie has always been active with her human rights campaigns. One of her focus is the troubled region of Darfur. On Human Rights Day, La Jolie has released a Newsweek editorial that calls out on the Obama administration for its approach to the situation in Sudan.

Angelina Jolie writes:

"Their policy, though, raises a number of questions. How is the Obama administration's approach to Sudan an evolution of justice? In addition, when the administration says it intends to work to 'improve the lives of the people of Darfur,' I would like to know what that means, besides the obvious point that their lives could hardly get worse.

"The administration has not yet announced any serious moves to enforce the decision of the ICC and execute its warrants. There will be pressure on the United States and its partners to bring stability to Sudan, even at the expense of criminal accountability. Regardless of the rationale, the end would be the same: victims left without justice while perpetrators walk away.

"Like many Americans, I support the administration's willingness to engage diplomatically, even with regimes we abhor. And I believe President Obama and his special envoy Scott Gration will do their best to bring peace to the region. I also hope we will act sooner and more powerfully to prevent future atrocities.
"

So Angelina Jolie is supporting President Obama's method after all. She is just pressuring the administration to act (and hopefully give remedy) to the Darfur crisis. Only few people can do that, you know - appealing to the government with high-publicity backup - and a Hollywood A-lister like Angelina Jolie is one of the abled few.

So good luck to your cause Angie!

Leonardo DiCaprio, meanwhile, has been approached by Ridley Scott to play Maurizio Gucci.

No official script has been written yet, but the film is said to focus on the Gucci family in the seventies and eighties. "After an inter-family power struggle that ends with Maurizio coming out on top, things go downhill until he's eventually murdered."

Angelina Jolie And David Beckham Together

Angelina Jolie has been reported to work with David Beckham and wife Victoria for Armani fashion house.

While the Beckhams will strip together for the Armani underwear line, Angelina Jolie will exude her oh-so-sexy scent as she becomes the face of a new Emporio Armani perfume.

But rumor has it that Angelina Jolie and David Beckham will also pose together for Armani:

"When you have David Beckham and Angelina Jolie signed up to your fashion house it's a no-brainer to link them up. There are a few contract issues to be addressed but marketing experts are being tasked with coming up with clever ideas for a print campaign," says a source for The Insider.

Armani execs reportedly needed to have a big star to help push the fragrance - and they were lucky to have Angelina Jolie, today's most powerful actress, to sign the deal.

"She's giving a lot of input on that stuff already, picking the photographers and directors. The campaign is going to be bold."

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Welcome New-Born Twin

Angelina Jolie finally delivered her twins on Saturday evening via caesarean operation in an exclusive hospital in Nice, France. The twins are named Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline. The baby boy Knox Leon weighed 2.27 kilos and baby girl Vivienne Marcheline weighed 2.28 kilos.

According to the attending gynaecologist, the 44-year old father Brad Pitt was very calm and was not at all disturbed by the operation but was very euphoric when he saw the twins. The 33-year old mother Angelina Jolie, on the other hand, had a “blinding smile.”

"Everything went smoothly. The children are doing very well, the mother is doing very well and the father is doing very well," the doctor added.

By the way, the babies already made a fortune just after they were born - their first photograph was sold to a US paper for 11 million dollars (or 6.9 million euros). Since they were born to famous humanitarian parents, however, the money from their photograph was already set to be given to charity.

At this early, the Brangelina twins are already making a loud noise in the media. How couldn't they? Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are Hollywood's golden couple. It's logical that Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline become Hollywood's golden twin.

Donation, Donation, Auction!

Its just ordinary happening for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to donate to charities. This time, the famous couple donated 1 million dollars to support the education of 8,000 war-affected children in Iraq and the United States. The latest Brangelina donation was given to the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, made through the Jolie-Pitt Foundation.

While its not a big thing for the Brangelina couple to donate, it is great news for hotel heiress Paris Hilton. The socialite had given an “extremely generous” donation for the construction of a medical building at the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. "The children I have met through my involvement with Children's Hospital have truly touched my heart... I am proud to make a donation and lend my name to the fundraising effort to help children who are facing terribly serious illnesses," says the 27-year old Paris Hilton.

Meanwhile, supermodel Kate Moss had her blonde hair extension for auction on eBay, with a good cause of raising money for an anti-drug charity. While Brangelina and Paris Hilton were “aware” of the donations they made, Kate Moss did not plan of auctioning her hair extension. The 37-year old model shed the extension as she tried to duck paparazzi in Germany. A photographer picked up the hairpiece and eventually posted it on eBay, for the benefit of German anti-drug charity Keine Macht den Drogen (No Power to Drugs).
