Hooters Waitress Denied Flight

Southwest Airlines, once known for under-dressing its flight attendants, is being sued for booting an 'under-dressed' passenger. The passenger, Kyla Ebbert was asked to leave by a flight attendant. She refused.

Kyla was just an innocent Hooters waitress trying to get from San Diego to Tuscon who was dressed in (as shown in the video) a tight white shirt and short denim skirt.

ABC says, "Kyla Ebbert, a blond, shapely 23-year-old San Diego coed who also works shifts at a Hooters restaurant, boarded the flight to Tucson, Ariz., on a one-day round-trip visit to an Arizona doctor's appointment. She had settled into her seat when a flight attendant confronted her about what was later described by the airline as 'revealing attire.'"

Maybe they were really just trying to protect her from the airplane seat germs...

Oops Britney

Britney Spears made her much publicised comeback with the opening performance at the 2007 MTV video music awards.

She introduced her single Gimme More in a skimpy outfit, consisting of a sparkly black bra and briefs with a matching pair of black boots.

The performance, which was billed as the return from a career break which began in 2004, was about as entertaining as watching your drunken friend trying to imitate Britney. In addition to barely moving, her mouth movements were off with the music and she seemed disoriented to say the least - just see it for yourself!

It was one of those times when you feel extremely embarrassed for a person but can't help but watch the train wreck.

I do actually feel bad for the mother of two, who clearly needs help, and its not even fun to watch anymore.

The Consequences of Not Being Socially Aware

Australian fake news and satire show, CNNNN, is known for its political mockings and parodies. It's no surprise then, that the United States is being for its supposed lack of social awareness. Americans are being interviewed in the streets in the video, and are asked simple questions that anyone who bothers reading the headlines on CNN would know. However, whether they chose to answer incorrectly for humor or not, their responses were often humorous and embarrassing for an American like me. A question such as, "What is the Buddhist monks' religion?" appeared to have stumped some people. I do personally think that this portrayal of America is incorrect; as they must have surveyed many more people before they either found a few people who were either willing to give silly answers or really needed to pick up a newspaper.

Nonetheless, this is not representative of the US educational system, obviously seen because some of the people interviewed in the video may have immigrated into America after their childhood. After attending religious-affiliated, secular-private, and public schools both in affluent neighborhoods and run-down ghettos, I can say from experience that America's educational system isn't too bad. It doesn't shield students from real life issues. Rather, Americans are encouraged to discover these issues on our own if we want to become global citizens. My cousin in China attends school from 5 in the morning to 10 at night in China, not even including homework and food, much less sleep. I doubt he has much time to read a newspaper, but most American students do.

If these people really weren't faking their answers just for 15 seconds of fame or humor, I hope that they'll be alarmed by this video and will pick up a newspaper or watch some real 'CNN' sometime soon. I don't see the relation this video has to the United States (they didn't survey any other countries so this lack of social awareness isn't proven to be only the 'US' problem), but perhaps it's warning all of us, citizens of all countries, to make sure we're more socially aware and educated about current events.

Bond Beats Women

If a picture is worth a thousand words than a montage of scenes should be worth, say, a million, or maybe $165 million which is how much the latest Bond movie grossed.

It's hard to believe that such a beloved series of movies could have been so obviously violent to women. Starting from the 60's to present day, Bond has not only been beating the bad guys but the women he loves for at least five minutes.

I always felt a little put off by the fight scenes with the bombshell beauties but I never saw it in the big picture (pun intended) and the big picture is a truly shocking one!

Racist Cop Captured on Tape

For anyone who believes that the world is now a racism free place, or better yet that the U.S. has abolished any such beliefs, all you have to do is look at the video above to know this is not the case.

Corrupt police officers are not a new phenomenon but seeing it is a different story.

What's worse than a police officer caught on tape using his power against an unassuming victim is that for every one such incident caught on tape there are dozens, if not hundreds, that are not.

So maybe at least when it is, we should all take a good hard look at it, and the society that allows for it.

Team Jennifer!

For all those on the "Team Jennifer" side, here are a few points for the team:

First Angelina Jolie came out looking a little catty for questioning Madonna’s international adoption, then reports surfaced she rudely pushed her way through a crowd of fans at the 'God Grew Tired of Us' premiere --and she definitely came off as cold and bitchy during her Golden Globes red carpet interviews-- but to top it off, US Magazine says she pissed off photographer Annie Leibovitz at her Vogue cover shoot.

At the cover shoot for the January issue of Vogue (shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz), Jolie “was a nightmare. It became all about Angelina fussing over her hair and makeup. Annie and Angelina did not get along because of it.”

Even her humanitarian efforts and what can only be described as "exceptionally too-good-looking" looks can't make her likeable, Jennifer Aniston on the other hand, she's loveable, too bad for Brad!
