Adam Lambert: "I'm Gay"
Adam Lambert is gay rocker, surprise much?

This doesn't come as a surprise actually, but fans of the American Idol Season 8 runner-up will finally read the confirmation from Glambert himself in the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone Magazine.
The sexuality of the 27-year old theatre actor from LA had caused speculations in the mainstream media ever since he gained popularity as a "glam" contestant on the reality singing competition. There were even photos of Adam Lambert kissing a man, shown and discussed by conservative commentators on The O'Reilly Factor. They, however, agreed that the photos would likely have no impact on the competition. Learning of his publicized images with a man, Adam Lambert confirmed that the photos were of him and just said he had nothing to hide and has always been open about his life.
On Rolling Stone, Adam Lambert confesses "I don’t think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I’m gay. I’m proud of my sexuality. I embrace it. It’s just another part of me."
Don't expect Glambert to lead the gay rights movement though. Adam Lambert says that there are other parts of his life that he’s trying to keep front and center, and it's not his sexuality. "I’m trying to be a singer, not a civil rights leader."
After American Idol, Adam Lambert has signed deals with 19 Entertainment and RCA Recordings for a debut album. His first album is expected this fall.
