Michael Lohan strikes back from daughter Lindsay Lohan and her girlfriend Samantha Ronson's attack. In an interview for “The Billy Bush Show”, the concerned father expresses “Lindsay doesn’t drink or use, She has been responsible with her work, she’s been doing a great job — however drinking and using isn’t the only form of addiction, and the relationship that Lindsay has with Samantha is toxic.”

Michael only hope - “I think sooner or later you’re going to see Lindsay right back up on top where she belongs and she’s going to turn around and say, “Dad, you were right all along.”

Bare To the Sheer Trend of Fashion 2008

Fashionistas out there, anxious about what comes along the runway for this spring/summer newest trend collection? Well, what do you expect to wear in a hot sunny season?

Sheer fabric and clothing is back again since it got trendy last 2006. Back then, there was too much sensuality. Try to compare the level of nudity shown in fashion titles such as Vogue in 2006 to today's issues. Today, particular elements of a fashion piece are sheer and they seldom reveal anything. It's not about tight, see-through tops, that catches everyones attention and left guy's eyes and drool. Spring / Summer 2008 runway collections is all about loose, flowing tops, pretty blouses, and dresses layered with sheer fabrics depicting woman in its delicate, less sensual feminine nature.

If you want to go trendy this season, stick to quality sheer fabrics with classic colors. Pieces should have enough room to fit layers underneath to take them from Spring to Autumn.

Below are the celebrities getting sheer trendy in their own ways.

She also shared her secrets of how she successfully brought back herself in shape and committed to being a healthy role model to her two young boys. “I'm the healthiest I've been all my life.” Britney tells OK!

Katy Perry's Hit Song “I Kiss a Girl, Condemned by Her Parents

As Katy Perry's hit song “I Kissed A Girl” sky-rocketed the hit charts, her parents pride descended down on her like a plane crash.

Perry's mother, Mary Hudson, quoted by Daily Record from an interview says "I hate the song, It clearly promotes homosexuality and its message is shameful and disgusting. Katy knows how I feel. We are a very outspoken family." Mary who is a pastor, said she was in disbelief after hearing the song for the first time. "When it comes on the radio I bow my head down and pray."

“I Kissed A Girl” is Katy's second single from her come back album entitled “One of the Boys”. According to her, the song was all “about the magical beauty of a woman.

Backed in the day, as she started her singing career in 2001, she used to be a Christian pop singer known by her real name Katy Hudson. But look how time molded her. Mary, believed that the changed was brought about by the influences of what is known to be the City of Angels – Los Angeles. Now, isn't that sound ironic!

"I was worried she'd start doing drugs and drinking alcohol. I still am. I spoke to her only recently. She said, 'I'm not going to turn into Amy Winehouse." Katy's religious parents cannot cut her out of their lives despite her immoralities and disobedience to the teachings of the Bible.

Katy reasoned out “the Bible also promotes understanding and forgiveness, which I keep reminding myself."

Lindsay Lohan Defended Sister Ali Against Breast Implant Rumors

Thursday - Lindsay Lohan posted on her blog her displeasure against rumors spreading like wildfire about Ali, her 14 year old sister, to have undergone a breast augmentation. She narrated about an incident that made her sick to her stomach.

Walking into a store with a friend, Lindsay was confronted with a paparazzi yelling at her - "Hey Lindsay, what do you have to say about people commenting on your sisters implants?" Caught out of nowhere she responded “Did you really just ask me that? She is a 14 year old girl, and you are a pedophile!"

Lindsay made it clear that she had nothing against people patronizing cosmetic surgery. It's just that her family finds it unnecessary to do, especially when you're not even fully developed yet!

“All in all my mother taught us to appreciate what we have been given. Nor would she ever encourage, or allow a 14 year old child to alter her body.”

It's good to know that celebrities such as Lindsay Lohan gives importance to beauty from its original form despite the pressure of being in the public eye.

Scarlett Johansson Rumored Allen's Muse

Scarlett Johansson put the record straight as she denies the rumors of being Woody Allen's latest muse. The actress has been working with one of the most revered Director in the industry for their forthcoming movie entitled Vicky Christina Barcelona where she played the role of a sexually free spirited woman named Christina.

Johansson also appeared in three of Allen's movie namely Match Point in 2005 and Scoop in 2006. These series of involvement made the press even more suspicious. The Director even admits that Scarlett Johansson is the inspiration of his films but the actress persistently rejects the claim.

"I'm not his muse. Every single junket that we've done so far, we always get the muse thing and we always say no, it's not that way. Woody and I both appreciate how wonderful it is to work with your friends, and it's fun and we always have a great time when we do it, we entertain each other, we understand each other and we poke each other."

She could only insist.

How To Maintain Your Glow From Summer To Fall

Summer is nearly over. And this could mean losing your sun-kissed looks when the fall season begins. For those who want to make their summer looks last, there's no need to panic. Here's some tips on how to maintain your glow from summer to fall.

SKIN
1. Massages and body wraps help to maintain the summer skin. Massage and body wraps reduce water retention, as well as tension and muscle pain. They help minimize the appearance of cellulites. They also help increase oxygen and blood flow.

2. Sunless tanning enhances your own pigment without streaks or turning you orange. It allows deeper, darker and longer lasting tan.

3. A light bronzer helps to extend tan and maintain a healthy glow, even in the chilly days of fall.

FACE
4. Light-diffusing cosmetics re-direct imperfection. They help deflect the UV light away from skin, thus avoiding the wrinkles and fine lines, as well as acne and other skin problems like acne or hyper pigmentation.

5. Allow your skin to breath. Instead of using products with heavy, pore-clogging ingredients during humid days, use mineral makeup. Aside from allowing skin to breath, mineral makeup also acts as a chemical-free sun block that naturally shields the skin from the sun's UV rays.

HAIR
6. Use warm water, not hot water when showering or washing your hair. Hot water makes the hair limp and dries out the skin. Warm water works best in soap and shampoo. Also rinse your hair with cold water after shampooing. It will lock a great shine as well as maintain skin moisture.

7. Always apply leave-on conditioner to make hair look conditioned all day. This will prevent split ends even while swimming or sunbathing.

8. Protect hair color with shampoo and conditioner that contains UV sunscreen. SPF-containing hair products protects the hair from harmful rays. It also moisturizes and resists fadeout to keep color looking vibrant even in the fall.

NAIL
9. Add some color to your toe and finger nails. A pop of summer color will make your skin look fresh and young. Transition colors like deep reds, pinks, and plums can take you from summer to fall seamlessly.

10. Always remember the top coat. Polishing your toes with a top coat of clear enamel adds layer of polish that will protect your manicure and pedicure. It will also keep your color steadfast into September.

Indeed, there are a lot of simple things that we can do to keep our skin, face, hair, and nails healthy and youthful from summer deep into fall. We can always begin at these ten fresh tips, courtesy of the award-winning Le Jardin Day Spa and Salon in Philadelphia.

Paris Hilton for McCain, Scarlett Johansson for Obama

In the pink corner, it's Paris Hilton issuing tart rebuttal to John McCain's election campaign ad. In the purple corner, it's Scarlett Johansson claiming embarrassment over Barack Obama emails.

Paris Hilton responded to a recent ad by presidential hopeful John McCain that compared the heiress to rival Barack Obama (while Hillary Clinton was compared to Paris Hilton's party friend, Britney Spears). The ad suggests that Obama is just a celebrity candidate unready to lead the nation.

On a spoof in a comedy Web site Funny or Die, Paris Hilton responded by declaring, “Hey America, I'm Paris Hilton and I'm a celebrity, too. Only I'm not from the olden days and I'm not promising change like that other guy. I'm just hot. But then that wrinkly, white-haired guy used me in his campaign ad, which I guess means I'm running for president. So thanks for the endorsement white-haired dude... I want America to know that I'm, like, totally ready to lead.”

For her part, 23-year old actress Scarlett Johansson admitted to be embarrassed by the media coverage of her so-called "e-mail relationship" with Barack Obama.

The actress admitted to be trading e-mails with the former senator during a magazine interview last June. Before the “email relationship” issue went out-of control, Scarlett Johansson explained, "I was merely trying to express my delight at Obama's commitment to his campaign in every aspect and his interest and his support (in) his surrogates and his staff and his fellows, and how wonderful and refreshing that is. And it was manipulated into such an unfortunate media frenzy of kind of a nonstory." For his part, Obama told reporters that Johansson doesn't have his personal e-mail address. It was his assistant who forwarded one message from Johansson to which he replied.

So there it goes, the high-profiled issues between celebrities and presidential hopefuls, which only teach us one thing: politicians are always linked with celebrities, making their names more popular to the voting public. Period.

The Female Drought

Recent research says that men have never been happier than in the 21st century. Among the reasons cited is that there is an abundance of women for them to choose from.

Despite having it “all” – women, money, and sex – there exist this something that a writer called “female drought.”

“While we often blame women for being too picky, it seems the men are starting to take on a similar trend with unrealistic goals and idealistic expectations,” explains a dating author.

The writer quoted a man saying, "Women are too masculine these days. It's more of a case of a specific type of female that there is a drought of – the feminine type who we actually WANT to date."

Thus, the so-called drought develops when we see something as an “endangered species,” that is, hot single and fragile women, so that we conditioned our minds to believe that there are not enough of these type of females that exist in this world.

10 Things You Should Know

10 things you should know about John McCain (but probably don't):
  1. John McCain voted against establishing a national holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Now he says his position has "evolved," yet he's continued to oppose key civil rights laws.1
  2. According to Bloomberg News, McCain is more hawkish than Bush on Iraq, Russia and China. Conservative columnist Pat Buchanan says McCain "will make Cheney look like Gandhi."2
  3. His reputation is built on his opposition to torture, but McCain voted against a bill to ban waterboarding, and then applauded President Bush for vetoing that ban.3
  4. McCain opposes a woman's right to choose. He said, "I do not support Roe versus Wade. It should be overturned."4
  5. The Children's Defense Fund rated McCain as the worst senator in Congress for children. He voted against the children's health care bill last year, then defended Bush's veto of the bill.5
  6. He's one of the richest people in a Senate filled with millionaires. The Associated Press reports he and his wife own at least eight homes! Yet McCain says the solution to the housing crisis is for people facing foreclosure to get a "second job" and skip their vacations.6
  7. Many of McCain's fellow Republican senators say he's too reckless to be commander in chief. One Republican senator said: "The thought of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine. He's erratic. He's hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me."7
  8. McCain talks a lot about taking on special interests, but his campaign manager and top advisers are actually lobbyists. The government watchdog group Public Citizen says McCain has 59 lobbyists raising money for his campaign, more than any of the other presidential candidates.8
  9. McCain has sought closer ties to the extreme religious right in recent years. The pastor McCain calls his "spiritual guide," Rod Parsley, believes America's founding mission is to destroy Islam, which he calls a "false religion." McCain sought the political support of right-wing preacher John Hagee, who believes Hurricane Katrina was God's punishment for gay rights and called the Catholic Church "the Antichrist" and a "false cult."9
  10. He positions himself as pro-environment, but he scored a 0—yes, zero—from the League of Conservation Voters last year.10

John McCain is not who the Washington press corps make him out to be. Please help get the word out—forward this post to your personal network. And if you want to keep posted on MoveOn's work to get the truth out about John McCain, sign up here (and see the footnotes for this post).

Oh yes, and we don't want to forget this:

"I am learning to get online myself, and I will have that down fairly soon, getting on myself," McCain told the New York Times in an interview that appeared Sunday. "I don't expect to be a great communicator, I don’t expect to set up my own blog, but I am becoming computer literate to the point where I can get the information that I need."

Even so, McCain bluntly admits, "I don't e-mail. I've never felt the particular need to e-mail."

Celebrities Urge Legal Curbs Against Paparazzis

We all know that paparazzis are here to stay. So why bother?

Let's hear it from the celebrity's side: "You are in danger. Without know who is following you, you do not know why you are being followed, which brings about a very really possibility of suffering harm."

This is according to paparazzi-favorite John Mayer who, along supportive city officials and many other celebrities who think that there should be a law that will tame the aggressive behaviors of paparazzis, is now starting to work on legal measures to regulate them.

A marathon complaint session has already began on Thursday. Here, the issue of paparazzis' harassing their stalked celebrities have been discussed. And joining John Mayer on the session are fellow Hollywood celebrities Eric Roberts and Milo Ventimiglia who also shared their bad encounters with the paparazzis. Mayer suggested concrete legal regulations such as all paparazzis should be required to display "a big white P" on their vehicle license plate.

The faith of their cause, however, is still swinging in the hands of Los Angeles Police Chief William Bratton who thinks that without the likes of Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton on the scene, the efforts of celebrities to urge legal curbs against paparazzis are total waste of time.
