Check this video and find out why celebrities remain ordinary people when they are not on the limelight – and how a blush of make-up gives character to an unremarkable face.
Its just ordinary happening for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to donate to charities. This time, the famous couple donated 1 million dollars to support the education of 8,000 war-affected children in Iraq and the United States. The latest Brangelina donation was given to the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, made through the Jolie-Pitt Foundation.
While its not a big thing for the Brangelina couple to donate, it is great news for hotel heiress Paris Hilton. The socialite had given an “extremely generous” donation for the construction of a medical building at the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. "The children I have met through my involvement with Children's Hospital have truly touched my heart... I am proud to make a donation and lend my name to the fundraising effort to help children who are facing terribly serious illnesses," says the 27-year old Paris Hilton.
Meanwhile, supermodel Kate Moss had her blonde hair extension for auction on eBay, with a good cause of raising money for an anti-drug charity. While Brangelina and Paris Hilton were “aware” of the donations they made, Kate Moss did not plan of auctioning her hair extension. The 37-year old model shed the extension as she tried to duck paparazzi in Germany. A photographer picked up the hairpiece and eventually posted it on eBay, for the benefit of German anti-drug charity Keine Macht den Drogen (No Power to Drugs).
In Milan, men were dressed in cotton shirts and thin ties with flamingo motifs. With flowers and flamingos, male models of Gucci walked down the catwalk in colorful dresses and leather lace-up shoes with large embroidered flowers and crocodile heels. This is to represent the tropical treatment for Gucci's spring/summer 2009 menswear collection.
"What I really wanted to bring with this collection was a sort of happiness," said the Italian designer Fridda Giannini.
"I was referring to this idea of travel, a sort of tour in the tropics ... In summer, in the minds of people in general, there are always colours, always prints, this idea of flowers, flamingo birds so I tried to keep all these elements and to spread them across the collection."

Notable attendants included Will Smith, Oprah Winfrey, Denzel Washington, Bill Clinton, Elton John, Forest Whitaker, Kim Cattrall, Naomi Campbell, Leona Lewis, Robert DeNiro, Uma Thurman and Pierce Brosnan.
Noticeably missing? Amy Winehouse who, despite her recent health problems is still slated to perform at Nelson Mandela's big concert tomorrow.
Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, George Clooney – Myanmar Plea
Hollywood's sexiest male celebrities Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and George Clooney combined their powerful charms and humanitarian efforts in pleading for the Myanmar government to allow foreign aid workers into the cyclone-ravaged country to bring reliefs for the people.
As top giving celebs, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and George Clooney represented the plea to enter Myanmar where 138,000 people died or was missing and 2.4 million people are in need of aid, after being hit by Cyclone Nargis. The junta government has refused entry to most foreign aid workers.
"Despite this, foreign supply ships with emergency and lifesaving equipment have been turned away or gone home. International relief continues to be slowed...Burma's delta remains shattered, its people starving and in danger."
Czech supermodel Karolina Kurkova appeared in Cia Maritima in the recent Sao Paulo Fashion Week in Brazil and was criticized for being too fat.
The Brazilian media described the 24-year old, 5'11'' supermodel as having "back fat, love handles and cellulite."
The famous supermodel appeared in bikini with all the said flaws quoted earlier, much to the disappointment of the audience who have known Karolina Kurkova for being the superfit Victoria's Secret Angel. The Brazilian audience were said to be “shocked” as the blonde supermodel looked uncharacteristically chubby and with “cellulite on her butt.”
Perhaps the fuss about Karolina Kurkova's figure is rooted from the fact that because she is a supermodel who have established a “superfit” figure in the fashion industry, gaining a little weight is already a subject of criticism.
On the other hand, knowing that Karolina Kurkova is being criticized for being too fat can also give us an idea of how people really taking the campaign against “too-thin” models in the fashion industry, after all. Brazil is one of the highly-profiled countries who supported the campaign against extreme thinness in modeling, but how come that even the obviously little weight gain and “back fat” of one model has speared so much criticism from the media?
She was just sentenced for 200-hour community service on Thursday after assaulting police officers in a highly-publicized Heathrow incident involving the 38-year old supermodel. But on Saturday, she got back to work at the Dolce & Gabbana menswear show in Milan.
Naomi Campbell made a surprise appearance on the catwalk wearing a black bra matched with silk boxer shorts and kimono. Surely, the catwalk appearance for D&G menswear showed that the black supermodel is back in “fine” form.
And speaking of fine form, Naomi Campbell seemed to be feeling fine for the police officers that she assaulted back at the Heathrow airport in April. But only for the police.
"As for British Airways, I don't apologize," she said.
Oh well, Naomi Campbell had her community service and all. As for the comment, let's just say the feisty supermodel is fine, for now...
All 3 Talk Show Queens Reign Supreme at the Daytime Emmy's
Of highlights to note from Friday's Daytime Emmy Awards, while Ellen DeGeneres successfully defended her crown for Outstanding Talk Show Host (which now makes 4 consecutive years), underdog "Rachael Ray" beat out Ellen for the Outstanding Talk Show honor. However, "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" racked up an impressive four awards in total.
Finally, manifest destiny must have worked for Tyra Banks (she dressed in gold and debuted a matching colored mane) "The Tyra Banks Show" was named "Outstanding Talk Show/Informative".
Cameron Diaz, Shakira, Robert Downey Jr., and Hugh Jackman are among the new list of stars to join the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year. This was announced by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce on Thursday.

Once they get the highest nominations, they are to be given honor on the walk of fame as represented by the memorial pink terrazzo stars, that each bears the awarded celebrity's name.

Unfortunately for Paris Hilton, a pet shop employee refused to sell her a puppy. The employee believed that Paris Hilton is simply making an impulse buy when she called in at Melrose Avenue's The Puppy Store to buy a Yorkshire Terrier for a photoshoot.
"Paris wanted a puppy in the picture with her so it would look cuter. She tried to buy a Yorkie but the employee refused to sell it to her, saying it was clearly an impulse buy,” reports had it.
Unable to have her request, the 26-year old hotel heiress “went ballistic and started screaming, 'I love my puppies! I want my baby!' However, they still wouldn't sell her the animal."
Unfortunately for Paris Hilton, she already made a reputation for buying animals out of impulse. Once, she bought a kinkajou during a Las Vegas trip in 2005, which angered California's animal authorities because the animal is illegal to be owned as pet. Then there was also a case of abandoning her pet cat, Prada, which was quoted as "clear-cut case of abandonment."
So it's no wonder why pet store owners are now allergic to customers who goes by the name of “Paris Hilton.”
Rockstar-wannabees: rejoice! Microsoft is creating a Facebook application for America's favorite guilty video game pleasure, "Rock Band" (which is widely speculated to surpass Guitar Hero 3 as 2008's top selling video game in the US).
This application will allow you to create a fictional band, invite members and brave feedback from fans/dissenters.
Want to up the ante and bring out your competitive side? The application will also include a flash-based "challenge" competition that if you are dethroned, could prompt an "auf wiedersehen" from the band.

M.I.A. To Throw In The Touring Towel Temporarily Or Indefinitely?
The chanteuse behind a song that I have figured out is utterly impossible for me to get sick of ("Paper Planes") confirmed the cancellation of her European tour that she had earlier insinuated while performing at McCarren Park Pool in Brooklyn.
While the newly engaged singer claims that she will utilize this time to record a new album, the speculation remains as to whether this notorious introvert will ever take to the stage again.
Jerry Hall, former wife of famed rock musician Mick Jagger, has auctioned her wedding dress for £2,420 at Sotheby's. The price guide for her old wedding dress was set at £300 - £500.
The American supermodel and actress has auctioned a total of 430 items from her wardrobe to help her fave charity Emmaus.
Jerry Hall wore the wedding dress to her married with Mick Jagger in 1990. The wedding dress was a white, off-the-shoulder, lace number designed by Anthony Price.
Aside from the wedding dress, all other items from Jerry Hall's wardrobe has fetched £28,000.
"For me, this is a time of letting go, simplifying and getting my priorities right. I love it that my dresses can have a new lease of life in someone else's wardrobe," she said.
And as for her wedding dress, the 51-year old Jerry Hall send her best wishes for whoever woman who wears it in the future.
"It's really odd to think that some other woman might wear it at her wedding. I just hope whoever she is has more luck than I did."
Like every star on this universe, everyone needs to have his or her own exposure in the print media. But for Hollywood A-list celebrity Charlize Theron, this is not important and too much of tabloid exposure is even ugly.
The 32-year old South African celebrity and former supermodel owned a lot of her career to the public exposure she gets on prints. But tough like the serial killer she portrayed in Monster, she casually said that she's not a fan of tabloid exposures and claimed being in the tabloids is not part of her job description.
Before you guys raised eyebrows for the seemingly arrogant declaration that the sexy actress announced, let's hear it from the not-fan-of-tabloids herself, Charlize Theron:
"It comes across as this really sad need for approval. I've heard people make comments like, 'You don't really want to be in the tabloids, but you need to be for your career.' They believe it's actually important. It's not. It's ugly," she says.
"Like, your life belongs to us now? That's the deal? I didn't get that memo. It wasn't sent to me and I didn't sign it. So, fuck you!"
A Fruity Slice Of 80's Nostalgia Receives A "Berry" 21st Century Makeover
Strawberry Shortcake was a regular fixture in my suburban 1980's childhood, adorning everything from my bedsheets, to birthday cakes, to television screens and clothing. That said, I write this post with great excitement.
As reported yesterday, American Greetings Properties has revamped this iconic 80's character (see photo above). The revamped Strawberry Shortcake is showcased as a scented doll.
Of any noteworthy modifications, the new SS has embraced modern technology (she talks on a cell phone), her trademark kinky curls have been replaced with sultry waves (presumably extensions) and her demure jumper and bloomers have been replaced with a Lily Pulitzer-esque pants and shirt combo with Argyle and polka dotted accents.
Females of the 80's can further rejoice when a reimagined version of the Care Bears emerges this fall.
For the lads, don't fret. Videogames featuring a more brawny team of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are in the works.
The keffiyeh is one of today's latest fashion accessories. However, there have been recent objections to its use, claiming that the use of scarfs that resemble the keffiyeh symbolizes pro-Palestinian jihad.
The keffiyeh is a traditional Arab headdress. Later, it inspires the version of a scarf that is hang around the neck. Usually in black and white or red and white, the keffiyeh has become one of fashion's latest accessories. Interested in political symbolisms or not, the keffiyeh has been a chic fashion accessory especially among young Westerners.
In Australia, wearing of keffiyeh has become a source of harassment for some, as people believed that they carry anti-Jewish sentiments. A Jewish-owned clothing labelis even criticized for advertising keffiyehs which are regarded as symbol of Arab terrorist movements.
Amidst all the clamors, Jewish community leaders have said that the reaction is unwarranted.
“Most people would be unaware of its connotation for Muslims and Jews, and it’s therefore, clearly being worn as a fashion item. If people choose to wear one for whatever reason, that is their choice.”
So if you love wearing those trendy keffiyeh fashion accessoriesbut fears for your dear life as it is said to symbolize Jihad, take it from the Jewish leaders themselves – wearing of keffiyeh is a non-issue.
Three weeks after marrying Cash Warren in a secret ceremony in Beverly Hills, Jessica Alba gives birth to a healthy baby girl named Honor Marie on Saturday. Honor Marie Warren is the first child of 27-year old Jessica Alba and 29-year old Cash Warren.
The baby girl was born on Saturday in Los Angeles, Jessica Alba's spokesman Brad Cafarelli confirmed but gave no further details.
Previously hailed as the world's sexiest woman, Jessica Alba once said that she does not want to be her child's bestfriend. "I don't want to be my child's best friend," she recently told Fit Pregnancy magazine. "I want to be a mom. But I do want my child to come to me when they have problems and need to talk, so it's going to be about treading that line."
Meanwhile, "Beverly Hills, 90210" star Tori Spelling gave birth to her second child at a Los Angeles hospital on Monday.
Stella Doreen McDermott weighs 6-pound, 8-ounce. She is the second child of 35-year old Tori Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott.
If you haven't already read the deets in the weekly gossip mags, Oprah has embarked on a 21-day cleanse. But you'd better believe a woman known for being sensible is not reverting to that far-fetched concoction of cayenne pepper, maple syrup and lemon juice.
Rather, Oprah is going 21 days without dairy, meat, gluten, caffeine, refined sugars and liquor. And even better, she is blogging about it and her vegan chef is sharing recipes.
Additionally, Ellen DeGeneres recently had an on-air visit from the authors of the best-selling Skinny Bitch books. Likely inspired by these fabulous women (yes one of the authors is a friend of mine so I know firsthand), if the recent blogs about "Ellen's Lunch" are any indication, looks like Ellen has embraced the vegan lifestyle as well, joining the ranks of celebs including Natalie Portman, Alicia Silverstone, Andre 3000 and Russell Simmons.
The funeral for the iconic figure in the fashion industry, Yves Saint Laurent aka YSL, turned out to be a top fashion event – only that film stars, supermodels and famous fashion designers all sported a mournful look, matched with black or other plaintive-colored wardrobes, as they said Au Revoir to the legendary fashion designer.
Held in the Roch Church in France, popular fashion figures came to bid farewell to designer Yves Saint Laurent at a funeral on Thursday. Some of the top designers who attended the event were Italian designer Christian Valentino, French fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier, French fashion designer Christian Lacroix, British fashion designer John Galliano, British designer Vivienne Westwood, and French designer Agnes B.
YSL became disillusioned with the fashion scene after he retired from designing in 2002, but even in his funeral, he cannot escape from the elegant fashion world whom he have helped introduced to people around the world and have made him a pillar of the fashion industry.
Thus, it is not surprising that even for the last time, top fashion designers still came up to Yves Saint Laurent to pay tribute and bid Au Revoir! to this man who have become one of the great couturiers of the 20th century.
Pictures do paint a thousand words, but for Christina Aguilera'sad, it also needs a power vocal for the lullaby to complete the theme.
Pop diva Christina Aguilera recently shot a PSA for Rock the Vote, where she sings a lullaby of "America the Beautiful" to her son Max who was wrapped in the American flag.
"She sang a cappella, and her son was so well behaved. She got it on the first take,” says the Rock the Vote executive director Heather Smith.
Christina and her star-spangled baby's ad is expected to debut in few weeks. It serves as symbol of new generation's artists speaking out to young people.
"This image really shows the country's 44 million young Americans that the future is in our hands," the editor concluded on Christina Aguilera's lullaby ad.
This years Glamour Women Awards was held last night in Berkeley Square in London. With lots of stars making a comeback, the event was glamourous in all sense of the word.
Attention-grabbers for the event included Lily Allen who sported a shocking pink hair-do, paired with a Giles Deacon S/S '08 deer print dress. And then there was yummy DJ Mark Ronson, but also with her girlfriend Daisy Lowe in strapless dress and bubble skirt. The Spice Girls shined in their glitzy sequins, especially Geri Haliwell and Emma Bunton. Style icon Alexa Chung was pretty in short mini taffeta Luella S/S '08 dress, matched with shiny shoe boots. Interestingly, Kate Beckinsale received the award for best actress in an Oscar-inspired gown, a floor-length plum coloured dress matched with her up 'do.

The bullfighting campaign is organized by Spain's animal rights association AnimaNaturalis and Britain'sPeople for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
The Spanish star's pose is presented in a poster entitled, “The Naked Truth: Bullfighting is Cruel.”
"We need to stick some little banderillas (spears used in bullfighting) in the backs of those who think that the bull does not suffer," Alaska said. For every bullfighting, the activity is always concluded by the death of the bull used in the game after being stuck by a sword.
Alaska is a leading member of “Movida,” a socio-cultural movement that was formed in response to the repressive dictatorship of Francisco Franco from 1939 to 1975.
But the Spanish Star's campaign was responded by Spain's bullfighters with plans of an exhibition at the European Parliament in Brussels on June 4 to 5, to persuade lawmakers that the activity is valid.
If there's one sign of hope for the protest campaign of the nude Spanish Star Alaska, it's the fact that bullfighting is not anymore popular to the younger generation of Spain.
Brad's The Latest To Dip His Funds Into the Dubai Money Pitt
Brad Pitt is the latest to jump onto the Dubai development bandwagon, announcing plans to design a luxury and environmentally friendly hotel in Dubai. Pitt will again be teaming up with Graft, the architecture firm that he collaborated with in the creation of "green" homes in post-Katrina New Orleans.
In addition to Brad Pitt, a number of film studios and major brands (i.e. Paramount, Marvel, Universal, DreamWorks animation) have theme parks in the works in Dubai and Tiger Woods is designing a golf course there as well.
Yves Saint Laurent is one of the most influential and established fashion designers of the 20th century. He was known for empowering women through his fashion, the way that Chanel was known for giving women freedom.
During his lifetime, he was quoted as saying "fashion was not only supposed to make women beautiful, but to reassure them, to give them confidence, to allow them to come to terms with themselves."
Yves Saint Laurent's hallmarks in fashion include the imple navy blue pea coat over white pants first showed in 1962. His 1966 tuxedo jacket became high fashion statement for both sexes. The Beatnik chic underlined Saint Laurent's statement on equality of the sexes.
His creation was a statement of women asserting for equality – clothes that resembled like men's clothes but were tailored to the female form – reflecting that women could wear "men's clothes."
Famous designers expressed sorrow for the death of the legendary designer, including Tommy Hilfiger and Francisco Costa of Calvin Klein.
"Mr. Saint Laurent revolutionized modern fashion with his understanding of youth, sophistication and relevance. His legacy will always be remembered.”
