How To Maintain Your Glow From Summer To Fall

Summer is nearly over. And this could mean losing your sun-kissed looks when the fall season begins. For those who want to make their summer looks last, there's no need to panic. Here's some tips on how to maintain your glow from summer to fall.

SKIN
1. Massages and body wraps help to maintain the summer skin. Massage and body wraps reduce water retention, as well as tension and muscle pain. They help minimize the appearance of cellulites. They also help increase oxygen and blood flow.

2. Sunless tanning enhances your own pigment without streaks or turning you orange. It allows deeper, darker and longer lasting tan.

3. A light bronzer helps to extend tan and maintain a healthy glow, even in the chilly days of fall.

FACE
4. Light-diffusing cosmetics re-direct imperfection. They help deflect the UV light away from skin, thus avoiding the wrinkles and fine lines, as well as acne and other skin problems like acne or hyper pigmentation.

5. Allow your skin to breath. Instead of using products with heavy, pore-clogging ingredients during humid days, use mineral makeup. Aside from allowing skin to breath, mineral makeup also acts as a chemical-free sun block that naturally shields the skin from the sun's UV rays.

HAIR
6. Use warm water, not hot water when showering or washing your hair. Hot water makes the hair limp and dries out the skin. Warm water works best in soap and shampoo. Also rinse your hair with cold water after shampooing. It will lock a great shine as well as maintain skin moisture.

7. Always apply leave-on conditioner to make hair look conditioned all day. This will prevent split ends even while swimming or sunbathing.

8. Protect hair color with shampoo and conditioner that contains UV sunscreen. SPF-containing hair products protects the hair from harmful rays. It also moisturizes and resists fadeout to keep color looking vibrant even in the fall.

NAIL
9. Add some color to your toe and finger nails. A pop of summer color will make your skin look fresh and young. Transition colors like deep reds, pinks, and plums can take you from summer to fall seamlessly.

10. Always remember the top coat. Polishing your toes with a top coat of clear enamel adds layer of polish that will protect your manicure and pedicure. It will also keep your color steadfast into September.

Indeed, there are a lot of simple things that we can do to keep our skin, face, hair, and nails healthy and youthful from summer deep into fall. We can always begin at these ten fresh tips, courtesy of the award-winning Le Jardin Day Spa and Salon in Philadelphia.

yes, I am a fan of mineral make-ups. they're way too cool than those inorganic make-ups that can cause cancer.
