The First Vaginal Spa Opens!

In New York, there's a unique spa that caters to the most special part in a woman's body. PHIT (Pelvic Health Integrated Techniques) is the first vaginal medi spa in New York. The spa is dedicated to strengthening and grooming a woman's genital area.

The vaginal spa has signature treatment of $150 gynecological exam. The basic examination includes the client contracting her pelvic muscles around the fingers of the gynecologist. In this way, the vagina will be determined by feel whether its muscle tone is weak, moderate or strong. Aside from this process which the doctor calls, “personal training,” the clients also has the option to use the in-office electrostimulation machine to improve pelvic muscle tone. These treatments are intended to improve bladder control. The gynecologist added that the pelvic training may also lead to more intense orgasms.

The doctor and owner of the spa (which is actually an “essentially gussied-up examination room down the hall from her medical practice”) is female gynecologist Dr. Lauri Romanzi who also performs pelvic reconstruction surgery.

Dr. Romanzi was inspired to open the vaginal spa after BriteSmile, the tooth-whitening chain. Just as there are experts who cater to people with healthy teeth, the gynecologist must have realized that there should also be experts to cater to the female genitalia.

The vaginal spa will open this month on East 58th Street in Manhattan.
