Two Talk Show Queens Embrace The Vegan Lifestyle

If you haven't already read the deets in the weekly gossip mags, Oprah has embarked on a 21-day cleanse. But you'd better believe a woman known for being sensible is not reverting to that far-fetched concoction of cayenne pepper, maple syrup and lemon juice.
Rather, Oprah is going 21 days without dairy, meat, gluten, caffeine, refined sugars and liquor. And even better, she is blogging about it and her vegan chef is sharing recipes.
Additionally, Ellen DeGeneres recently had an on-air visit from the authors of the best-selling Skinny Bitch books. Likely inspired by these fabulous women (yes one of the authors is a friend of mine so I know firsthand), if the recent blogs about "Ellen's Lunch" are any indication, looks like Ellen has embraced the vegan lifestyle as well, joining the ranks of celebs including Natalie Portman, Alicia Silverstone, Andre 3000 and Russell Simmons.

The results of a diet consisting of veggies, nuts, fruits, grains, and whole foods is absolutely remarkable. It's as if it were how we were meant to eat all along.
Some of the recipes from Oprah's chef actually sound good too.
