Tony Awards 2008

It's another highly-profiled awarding ceremony again, as this year's awarding ceremony for live American theater, the Antoinette Perry Awards for Excellence in Theater better known as the Tony Awards, was held on Sunday.

As televised on CBS, the Tony Awards sparkled with fashion and wonderful performances from stage performances of the The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Rent and Young Frankenstein.

Comedian Whoopi Goldberg hosted the event that is intended for Broadway productions and performances.

Big Winner for this year's Tony Awards is Boyd Gaines, who has taken home the Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical for his role in Gypsy.
