Tara Conner Admits to Cocaine Use

Miss USA Tara Conner reveals in a new interview with Matt Lauer that she has used drugs, telling the "Today" host, "I have done cocaine, yeah."

She also says in the interview, airing Thursday, that she's taken antidepressants and other drugs that triggered an allergic reaction. "I've tried several different things. But, you know, it's always the same effect," she tells Lauer. "The more that I get it off my chest, the better I feel about myself. It's not healthy for my recovery to sit here and hold things back."

"She is not allowed to go to clubs anymore … and she has a lot of new rules for going out," a source told the Post. A spokesperson for the Miss USA organization said, "Plans to move to a bigger apartment with a chaperone have been in the works for months, and Tara is free to go wherever she wants." Conner, now 21, was evaluated last month because of a few too many late nights out on the town in New York City, where she is said to have engaged in underage drinking. At the time, local newspapers reported that Conner tested positive for cocaine.

NBC says that in her interview Conner will discuss her rehab stint in detail and she'll talk about a possible appearance in "Playboy" magazine. Conner also admitted to being an alcoholic to People magazine.
All I can say is Wow! Isn't Miss USA supposed to be a role model? Could've fooled me.

Brandy sued for $50 million

The parents of a woman killed in a freeway crash involving Brandy sued the actress-singer for $50 million Tuesday. The wrongful-death suit claims Brandy was driving recklessly when her Land Rover struck the back of a Honda driven by Awatef Aboudihaj, 38, "The Insider" first reported.

"The accident was a terrible tragedy, and Brandy's heart goes out to Awatef Aboudihaj's family," spokesman Allan Mayer said in a statement. "But for legal reasons we cannot comment on this lawsuit." The suit was filed on behalf of Aboudihaj Ahmed and Labridi Zohra in Los Angeles Superior Court. It comes a day after the California Highway Patrol recommended Brandy be charged with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter in the Dec. 30 accident. The city attorney's office is reviewing the case.

Brandy, whose real name is Brandy Norwood, has publicly expressed condolences to the victim's family. Brandy, 27, was driving on Dec. 30 when traffic slowed and her vehicle hit Aboudihaj's, a CHP report said. Aboudihaj's car hit another vehicle, slid sideways into the center divider and was then hit by another car, the report said. Aboudihaj, a Los Angeles waitress, died at a hospital from blunt-force injuries, according to the coroner's office. Brandy, who earned a Grammy in 1999, has made five albums and has been seen most recently as a judge for NBC's "America's Got Talent."

Rimmel Rumor mill: Who would take Kate's place?

Kate Moss is not exactly hurting for modeling contracts. With more than 14 advertising campaigns at the moment, she is arguably as hot a commodity as ever. But rumors have been flying around London that Kate Moss might lose out on her Rimmel cosmetic contract due to her age.

At 33, she's fresh-faced and youthful, but she's still no modeling spring chicken. According to News of the World newspaper a source said, "age catches up with everyone, even Kate. But she hasn't been told anything by Rimmel."

If the rumors are true, I'm sure it will be a hard blow for Moss who is already quite sensitive about her age. Hopefully she keep things in perspective, especially since she has had a 20-year career in an industry where most woman have a shelf life of five to seven. We'll be sure to keep you updated as this story unfolds.

Isaiah Returns From Rehab

Accroding to ET Online Isaiah Washingtom will return to the set of "Grey's Anatomy" Thursday to resume his role on the popular series.
The actor has been in a residential treatment facility seeking counseling for anti-gay slurs he made during the Golden Globes awards and on the set of his hit ABC show. Washington has been absent from the set since January 23, one day before he announced he had begun counseling "as a necessary step toward understanding why I did what I did and making sure it never happens again."
According to Life & Style, the 43-year-old star entered the residential treatment facility for a "psychological assessment" after talks with ABC executives. The TV doc's move to get counseling came just days after the star met with gay community leaders to address his public slur regarding his cast mate, T.R. Knight.
You would think that the one-week "rehab" card could only be used so many times. But in Hollywood it seems that "rehab" is the answer to all problems. In just one week Isaiah is no longer prejudice, Lindsay Lohan will be a Disney favorite again, hey, maybe Britney Spears could go to rehab and suddenly be attracted to decent guys.

Tyra Labeled as Fat

Tyra Banks the "America's Next Top Model" host and Victoria's Secret model has always been admired for her perfect body.

So it came as a bit of shock when the National Enquirer published photos of the supermodel, looking a little chubby with the title "America's Next Top Waddle" - this coming from the same tabloid that publishes skeleton-like images of Nicole Richie.

Tyra fired back by wearing the same swimsuit on her talk show displaying her lean and curvy new figure, which was a far cry from the distorted image in the tabloid. She also appeared on the latest issue of PEOPLE magazine, saying she's proud of her post-modeling curves.

During an intense skinny-model controversy in the fashion world, and while all eyes are on top models and celebrities that are literally starving, its just mind-boggling that a 161 lbs. 5'10" fit celebrity would receive this kind of scrutiny, frankly Tyra looks better than ever.

Lindsay's Rehab Red Carpet

According to dlisted.com residents of the Wonderland rehab facility where Lindsay Lohan is receiving treatment are upset that she’s getting to leave so much. Lindsay left again yesterday to have her car serviced. She then stopped by the set of her movie before returning back to rehab.

Residents have told TMZ that when Lindsay is there, her friends, hairstylists, make-up people and masseuse are allowed to tend to her. The facility has also given her the key to the front door.

Lindsay’s rep said, "Lindsay is 100% not getting special treatment. She’s getting the same as everyone else. This isn’t the Betty Ford Clinic, it’s not a lockdown facility. There is personal time. All these naysayers who keep blogging and speaking out, like the ‘Today’ show, they don’t know what she’s going through, they’re not there. They shouldn’t speak until they’ve gone through something like that."

She also wanted to make sure that everyone knows Lindsay had her appendix was taken out and was not in the hospital for anything else.

It's one thing for celebs to get special treatment in a restaurant but rehab??? Where is this going anyways, the barely out-of-her-teens star is well on her way to becoming just one more child star tragedy.

Venus Wins Big

Venus Williams won her eighth Grand Slam title yesterday at the Australian Open, when she beat Maria Sharpova 6-1, 6-2. At the time of her win, Venus was unseeded (considered having less skill) and ranked 81st. She is only the second unseeded female player to win the Australian Open. According to Fox Sports, Venus will now be ranked No. 14 in the world.

25-year-old Venus overcame harsh criticism this year after many speculated that she was out of shape, since she missed most of last season with a knee injury. She clearly proved them wrong with her tremendous comeback.

Venus dedicated her trophy to her half-sister Yetunde Price, who was killed in a shooting in 2003. Venus thanked her half-sister as she became teary-eyed when talking to reporters.

Here's proof that you can overcome obstacles, both physical and psychological, and bounce back in life. Go Venus!

Hilary Duff feels like a guy

According to People magazine, Hilary Duff appeared on Ryan Seacrest's radio show on Thursday and was quoted as saying that dating "is fun. I kind of feel like a guy, like I can do it now." To which we say: What the hell??? Since when is dating solely a 'male' activity? We know not everyone swings that way, but presumably it takes two to tango, and that two often involves a man AND a woman. Her ex Joel Madden didn't waste anytime dating, since he was spied with Nicole Richie just days after their break up.

Meanwhile, Kirsten Dunst has been taking flank from gossip sites light, right and center over her recent serial dating habits, which happen to involve a lot of exes: Drew Barrymore's ex Fabrizio Moretti, Rachel Bilson's ex Adam Brody, and Adrien Grenier, who's nobody's ex but, like his "Entourage" character, is said to play the field one night at a time. First of all, we don't even know if she's dating any of these guys. Secondly, they're single too, hence the term "ex".

Plus, as soon as Cameron Diaz met up with Kelly Slater, she was automatically deemed a pathetic rebounder. But Justin, who's been linked to Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Biel since his recent split, gets nothing but props from the entertainment industry.

I'm sick of this double standard! Women should be able to date just as much as men. I'm not saying every woman should turn into Paris Hilton, but it's time we stop giving female celebs a hard time for getting around just as much as their male counterparts. Date, girls, date!

Miss USA, Tara Conner's Drastic Change

Miss USA Tara Conner is fully rehabilitated! How do we know? It's because she's clutching a teddy bear. the first pictures of Tara since her hard-partying ways earned her a Trump-thumping into rehab are now on the internet. To call the pictures overdramatic would be an understatement. In an effort to convince the public that she's a changed woman, a super-conservative looking Tara struck a few interesting poses, including the obligatory "mirror" shot that everyone loves posing for. She's clearly been doing a lot of self-reflection.

Hair-Brained Mary-Kate Olsen

Mary-Kate Olsen is angrily denying reports that she's battling anorexia anew -- and now she's blaming her scary-skeletal look on ... her hair. What is this world coming to? Now hair is to blame for anorexia. What's next?

Mary-Kate raised some eyebrows at the Golden Globes with her ultra-thin physique and now there are loud whispers that she's struggling with the disease again. According to sources, Olsen, who was treated for the disease back in 2004, "still works with her therapist to keep her in line," and struggles with the problem every day.

Her rep, however, says that the young millionaire isn't losing weight and insists she's healthy, and offers a whopper of an explanation for the bony look: "The blonde hair she has now makes her look skinny."

My response? Give me a break and my highlights make me look ten pounds lighter. Please eat something, anything.

Paris for Sale

Paris Hilton forgot to pay her storage fees so now her stuff is up for grabs. According to E! Online, David Hans Schmidt, known for his ties to the celebrity porn industry, purchased and sold the items to a site that is now selling the items to the public.
In addition to jewelry, furniture, clothing, diaries, credit card bills, emails, medical records, bank statements and photos, ParisExposed (the site owning the items) also claims to have letters written by Hilton discussing on-again pal Nicole Richie and sister Nicky, a love note from former boy-toy Nick Carter and a selection of "never before seen sex videos."
Paris Hilton's rep, the over-worked Elliot Mintz, told the Associated Press that they are certainly "going to explore all of [their] legal options about this matter."
Isn't it scary that a high-profile celeb could be so irresponsible with her valuable things and personal items, uhm, where exactly is her dog?

Dirty Mouth Rachael Ray

Perky talk show host Rachael Ray made disparaging racial remarks about the woman who gave Ray her big shot at daytime TV -- none other than Oprah Winfrey, according to sources.
Apparently, at around 7:00 PM, Ray, along with seven others, went to Houston's Restaurant in the mall and ordered fish. She was also drinking red wine and lots of it. We're told Ray became "extremely loud and aggressive," and began dissing Oprah. Sources say she told the group about a portrait of Oprah from the movie "Beloved" that sits in the lobby of Harpo Productions in Chicago. It shows Winfrey's back, enhanced with scars and she's also wearing a skirt from the slavery era. Ray launched into attack mode: "Why is she wearing slave drag? She obviously has problems being black."
But Oprah wasn't Ray's only target. Sources say she told the group how much she liked Jennifer Aniston and then called Brad Pitt a "pussy boy." But her harshest comments were reserved for Angelina Jolie, calling her "a skanky, backdoor c**t."
Her Director of Publicity for Rachael Ray said that there are several words that are attributed to Rachael that she has never uttered in her life. Celebrity or not, these words shouldn't have even seen the light of day.
Doesn't she know that you don't bite the hand that feeds you!

Dreamgirls Gets Ultimate Oscar Snub

"Dreamgirls" received the most nominations out of all those nominated, receiving a remarkable 8 nominations from everything to best supporting actress to best art direction. But wait, what about Best Picture? After all, it did win the Best Picture category at the Golden Globes. Critics cite everything from marketing strategy, the death of Gerald Ford and Christmas, the Times breaks down what went wrong for the Oscar hopes the much-celebrated musical.

"Babel" received 7 nominations, both Spanish film "Pan's Labryinth" and "The Queen" received 6 nominations including Best Picture and Best Actress, Helen Mirren. Forest Whitaker and Helen Mirren, who played monarchs to very different effect — continued their stately walk to the podium, with nominations for best actor and best actress.

While "Dreamgirls" may have been snubbed the ultimate Oscar award, this major motion picture will certainly give the rest of those nominated a run for their money. We'll have to just wait and see on Feb. 25th when Ellen Degeneres hosts the most anticipated awards show of the year.

Sundance Movies Cause Uproar

This year's Sundance film festival is anything but glamorous. Featuring controversial films including a documentary about bestiality, a film about the torture and murder of a teen, and a southern Gothic tale that includes the rape of a young girl, which is causing the biggest stir.

According to Canada.com, "Hounddog" is the story of Lewellen, a girl played by 12-year-old Dakota Fanning, who is growing up in the 1960s South. The character is molested and neglected which is causing critics to question the use of such a young star in the film.

Even before the first screening of the film at the festival this week, a Christian film critic, citing Fanning's age, decried the movie as child abuse, and Roman Catholic activist Bill Donohue called for a boycott.

Many might want to avoid the film simply because it's disturbing, and if this is a sign of the films to come, I might just skip the theater altogether and stay home with my Shrek DVD's...maybe Dakota should do the same.

The Real Devil

New York's Page Six is reporting yet another encounter with a terrified Anna Wintour staffer. It sounds like Meryl might have actually played her down.

A staffer at The Post received a frantic call from Wintour's office the other morning. The young woman was near hysteria, asking how she could print out the Post's entire online edition. After walking the Wintour underling through the steps, she was asked, "Is she really that difficult?" "I can't talk now. I'm too busy," she replied and hung up.

Poor thing, and to think she'll never get an Oscar nod for her real-life role, unlike her counterpart in the the film based on Wintour, the Devil Wear's Prada. I wonder if she really prefers Prada? I'd ask but I, like her workers, am too afraid.

Technology Meets High Fashion

Most tech savvy women are equally fashion savvy so LG's new Prada phone seems like the perfect new product.
Complete with a touch-screen driven interface, South Korea's LG is looking to bask a bit in the anticipatory halo surrounding Apple's forthcoming IPhone.
According to digitaltrends.com, The LG Prada phone is unlikely to ever see U.S. markets—it's a tri-band GSM unit with EDGE data service—although it should hit retailers in the U.K., France, Germany, and Italy in February, and reach Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore by March, with a Korean release following in the second quarter of 2007.
The phone sports a 2 megapixel camera (with a Schneider-Kreuznach lens), a built-in media player capable of handling music (MP3, AAC, AC+, WMA, and RealAudio) and video (MPEG4, H.263, H.264), along with a document viewing which can display PowerPoint, Word, Excel, PDF, and text documents.
The fashion-phone sports a 400 by 240 LCD touch screen, and the phone is operated on-screen via a touch screen interface built using Macromedia Flash. The phone also offers Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, microSD storage, and Internet connectivity via mobile data services, rather than Wi-Fi.
And keeping in mind that all good things come in small packages, the whole unit measures just 98.8mm by 54mm by 12mm (3.9 by 2.1 by .47 inches).
The drawbacks: although many are comparing the device to the forthcoming Apple iPhone—and noting that it's a bit smaller—consider that the Prada phone offers a skimpy 8 MB storage (opting instead for microSD cards), doesn't support Wi-Fi connectivity—and the iPhone's will pack a larger display (480 by 320 pixels).
But with a name like Prada, the €600 price tag (about USD $770) seems like a well-justified splurge.

Hillary Clinton for President

On Saturday, Hillary Clinton officially announced her bid for the 2008 U.S. presidential race. The Former First Lady is a Democrat who is currently serving her second term as senator of New York.

In a videotaped message on her website, Hillary Clinton lambasted George Bush, saying that "Only a new president will be able to undo Bush's mistakes and restore our hope and optimism."

According to the Star online, there are currently five candidates vying for Democatic leadership. Barack Obama, a senator from Illinois, is considered Hillary Clinton's biggest competition.

Upon hearing Clinton's announcement, Obama stated: "I welcome her and all the candidates, not as competitors, but as allies in the work of getting our country back on track."

Whether it is Clinton or Obama (who is half-black) who succeeds in winning the Democratic leadership race, it is refreshing to see political minorities finally moving into the spotlight.

Justin's Latest Gal Pal -- His Mom

Cameron hangs ten with surfer Kelly Slater in Hawaii, while Justin was caught partying with... his mom!

According to TMZ.com, after his concert, JT headed over to Vegas hotspot Jet Nightclub at the Mirage for a wild birthday bash for his mom, Lynn. With a 30-person entourage in tow, Timberlake headed right for the VIP section, where the Jack Daniels and Dom Perignon flowed.

Justin and mom partied till the wee hours with Eva Longoria and Alyssa Milano. Then, towards the end of the night, the mama's boy sang "Happy Birthday," and the DJ played his hit single, "Sexy Back."

For all those Justin haters, how can you hate him now?

In fact, the surf god could barely take his eyes off Diaz as the pair shredded waves on the North Shore of Oahu. As TMZ reported, the two have been spending a lot of time together in the wake of Cameron's split from Justin Timberlake. We're told the duo hit various golf courses and restaurants on the island ... and that Diaz is shacking up at Slater's island home.Cameron was often seen hangin' ten with former flame Justin Timberlake. Rosie's new target? Naughty Paula

Rosie O'Donnell is one of the 37 million TV viewers watching "American Idol," but don't count her among those who liked what they saw.

It's only one week into the new season and the scandals begin. Two episodes in and judges are already accused of going too far.

For the second day in a row, "The View" co-host suggested Paula Abdul was drinking during the show and lashed out at the show for making fun of the people auditioning. O'Donnell and her co-hosts played a clip from Wednesday night's "Idol," in which a contestant, following an off-key audition, was roundly mocked and rejected by the judges. "That's compassion for you," O'Donnell said. "Isn't that what America thinks is entertainment, to make fun of someone's physical appearance? And then, when they leave the room, laugh hysterically at them -- three millionaires, one probably intoxicated."

The 44-year-old Abdul canceled all media interviews the following day, saying that she had a sore throat after sitting in the chilly studio Thursday. "She never drinks," Ballard said. "I have known Paula since she was 13, and I have never seen her drink ever in my life. ... And no, she is not on any kind of medication." Is this the new Trump versus Rosie battle? You be the judge. Round two...

Sundance Film Fest

The Annual Sundance Film Festival kicked off its 26th year yesterday in Park City, Utah. The festival, founded by Robert Redford in 1981, runs from January 18th-28th. It is known as one of the most important film festivals in the world, especially for American independent filmmakers who come to Park City in the hopes that their film will be "discovered", i.e. find a distributor.

Films like "Little Miss Sunshine" (2006) and "Napolean Dynamite" (2004) owe a huge chunk of their box-office success to the fact that they were well-received at Sundance.

There are also prizes to be won: the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award for documentary and dramatic films, both international and domestic. Past winners include "Hustle and Flow" (Audience Award Dramatic, 2005), "Whale Rider" (Audience Award World Cinema, 2003), and "Girlfight" (Grand Jury Prize Dramatic, 2000).

Sundance is also famous for its celebrity draw, as big name stars flock to the tiny mountain town to promote their films, support their movie-star friends' films, or simply soak up the rampant party atmosphere and do some skiing (cue Paris Hilton).

This year's films include "Chapter 27", starring Jared Leto; "Hounddog", Dakota Fanning's first indie picture; and "Grace is Gone", with John Cusack.

I can't wait to get the scoop on which films to watch, which films to miss, and which stars partied harder than all the rest!

U.S. "Weighs In" on Fashion Weight Debate

Finally the U.S. is catching up to its European counterparts on the fashion weight debate. New York, led by the Council of Fashion Designers of America, has issued these guidelines regarding the underweight model issue, according to About.com:
  • Models under 16 are banned from the runway and models under 18 shouldn't work past midnight.

  • Models identified with an eating disorder must get professional help; these models can only return to work with that professional's OK.

  • Provide healthy food for the models during fashion shows and prohibit smoking and alcohol.

The debate began when two models died last year of suspected weight-related ailments: one collapsing on a Uruguay runway, the other in Brazil from anorexia-related complications. Madrid initiated the campaign against underweight models with guidelines banning models under a body mass index of 18. Milan became the first major fashion capital to issue guidelines regulating underweight models, and now finally, the U.S.

Will the fashion industry really take notice, or will Kate Moss continue to reign supreme? For now at least the industry is making some changes, let's hope it continues.

Team Jennifer!

For all those on the "Team Jennifer" side, here are a few points for the team:

First Angelina Jolie came out looking a little catty for questioning Madonna’s international adoption, then reports surfaced she rudely pushed her way through a crowd of fans at the 'God Grew Tired of Us' premiere --and she definitely came off as cold and bitchy during her Golden Globes red carpet interviews-- but to top it off, US Magazine says she pissed off photographer Annie Leibovitz at her Vogue cover shoot.

At the cover shoot for the January issue of Vogue (shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz), Jolie “was a nightmare. It became all about Angelina fussing over her hair and makeup. Annie and Angelina did not get along because of it.”

Even her humanitarian efforts and what can only be described as "exceptionally too-good-looking" looks can't make her likeable, Jennifer Aniston on the other hand, she's loveable, too bad for Brad!

Lindsay in Wonderland

It's official (and it's about time!): Lindsay Lohan has entered rehab. According to Page Six, the 20 year-old actress checked herself into L.A's Wonderland Center yesterday around 2:30pm.

The Center, which offers "alcohol, substance abuse and relapse-prevention programs", is a sprawling three-acre facility with two swimming pools and gourmet food.

Lohan's rep released a brief statement on her client's behalf, which read: "I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health. I appreciate your well wishes and ask that you please respect my privacy at this time."

Not that this surprises anyone, since Lohan has been making a name for herself as a party girl since she rose to fame with "Mean Girls" back in 2004. Still, the girl is entering rehab at 20!? She must have really done some damage to herself in the past couple of years.

Let's see: she's lived (unsupervised) in the Chateau Marmont hotel since the age of 17, confessed to an eating disorder in Vogue, was hospitalized for 'exhaustion' on multiple occassions, fell and cut her leg at Bryan Adams' estate in England, was chastized for unprofessional behaviour on the set of "Georgia Rule", partied with socialities at high-profile clubs, and recently had emergency surgery to get her appendix removed.

Yep, I'd say she's about ready for rehab. But we all know what that means....

She'll be ready for her comeback by the time she's legally allowed to drink.

Poor Posh and Becks

Victoria Beckham is going to be a busy busy woman over the next couple of months, according to A Socialite Life. She needs to find a gigantic home for the Beckham's to live in, she needs to check out schools for the kids, and she needs to update her wardrobe so she's a little more "LA.". How will she ever find the time?
The spokesperson said: "She was always going out there on a scheduled trip", adding: "She will be looking at schools and houses for when they arrive in the summer."
The trip comes days after David Beckham confirmed that he had signed a lucrative deal with LA Galaxy.
He said he wanted to make the move from Spain to the US in order to make a difference. "I'm coming there not to be the superstar but to be part of the team, and to work hard and hopefully to win things," he said.
I really feel for the couple, 250 million dollar deal and new "Beckingham" palace aside, the transition is going to be tough. Let's all pray that the couple finds the American dream...or at least that they continue to fill the tabloid pages with juicy tid bits of illicit affairs with nannies!

The Golden Globes

The Hollywood Foreign Press may have started the awards show over half a century ago to honor the best of the best in film and television, but let's be honest, the top awards go to the best dressed. The award may have less impact on your reputation than a fashion mistake, and a stunning gown can make you a star whether you win or lose.
So here is the breakdown of the winners and losers - in fashion of course - do you really care who won for best screen play?
According to ABC.com:
Angelina Jolie — Her charcoal-gray, strapless gown was only the beginning. Add the delicate diamond necklace, the sleek updo, the soft smoky eyes, pale lips and a one-of-a-kind accessory, Brad Pitt, and you've got yourself the ultimate Hollywood legend.

Hilary Swank — Her navy blue, spaghetti strap dress fit her perfectly (style note: Fit is crucial!), and the bow detail at the waist added a feminine touch. Natural makeup, 1940s-style finger waves and the diamond flower hair clip made her look, well, super-swanky!
Penelope Cruz — Her fitted, black Chanel Couture gown was anything but basic. The fluttery ruffle detailing on the straps brought attention to her face, as did her Brigitte Bardot-esque hair. Instead of noticing Penelope's dress or makeup or hair, you simply noticed Penelope.
Drew Barrymore — Drew's Hollywood royalty roots were evident last night. When she breezed down the red carpet in her pale pink strapless John Galliano for Christian Dior gown, all eyes were suddenly on her, despite the fact that several other A-listers were in the immediate vicinity.
Cate Blanchett — A modern style icon, Blanchett never fails to impress. Her black lace, off-the-shoulder Alexander McQueen gown with the asymmetrical hem looked even more sophisticated with her barely-there makeup and soft, tousled hair.
Cameron Diaz — Her dark hair and red lips looked particularly striking when paired with a one-shoulder white gown. The ruffle detail on the shoulder and the jeweled black bow belt were especially intriguing.
Meryl Streep — Streep would have made any fashion editor proud with her blush chiffon Carolina Herrera gown.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus — First, the mustard hue. Mustard? Next, the length. While hemlines may be on the rise, it seemed inappropriate for a best actress nominee to opt out of a full-length gown in favor of a knee-length cocktail dress. Plus, the dress didn't fit. Every time we saw Julia, her bustline seemed to be in a different place.
Patricia Arquette — Her unnatural coif and stiff strapless dress made this former Globe winner look like a…well, you know.
Sienna Miller — Love it or hate it, only Sienna could pull off this look. I'm still not sure exactly where I stand on it, but her white and gold patterned gown had a gladiator-meets-goddess vibe that was substantially softened by her Heidi-like braided hairdo.
Jennifer Love Hewitt — Her copper lace George Chakra gown was garish at best, and her overdone hair made matters worse. No love for Jennifer.

Justin and Scarlett???

It all started when Star magazine reported that Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz had split up, propelled by rumours that they spent the holidays in separate cities, he in Memphis, she in Colorado.

Then Justin cast the newly-single Scarlett (she recently split from boyfriend Josh Hartnett) in his video for "What goes around", a song reportedly inspired by the bitter break-up between Justin's BFF, Trace Ayala, and 24 vixen Elisha Cuthbert.

Now rumours are floating that Justin and Scarlett were seen embroiled in conversation (sample dialogue: "you're hotter!', "no, you are", "no you!") at the after-party for Timberlake's new flick 'Alpha Dog'.

Mmm...sounds suspicious. The Cameron and Justin break-up coincides directly with Scarlett's presence in Justin's video. I guess we'll have to wait and see what kind of onscreen chemistry these two create when the "What goes around" video premieres.

Who knows? By then, both Justin and Scarlett could have moved on to better and hotter things... If that's even possible.

The List Is Out!

Once again, Mr. Blackwell gives us the much anticipated "Worst Dressed Women List".

Britney Spears and Paris Hilton tied for No. 1 on Mr. Blackwell's 47th annual "Worst Dressed Women List".

Calling them "two peas in an over-exposed pod" and "style-free and fashion deprived," Blackwell dubbed Spears and Hilton the "Screamgirls."

Blackwell didn't limit his nitpicking to young stars such as 20-year-old Lindsay Lohan (No. 3), who went, he claims "from adorable to deplorable" - also targeted, in No. 10 spot, was 57-year-old Meryl Streep, even though she played a fashionista in The Devil Wears Prada.

I'd like to make my own "Worst Waste of Time" list where celebrities that wasted my time in terrible movies or scandals could get some backlash, maybe next year!

Where's Your Burger Paris?

According to Access Hollywood, Paris Hilton is to be arraigned in Los Angeles today on drunk driving charges. She is not required to appear in court because the charges are misdemeanors.

Hilton was pulled over last September seventh for driving erratically. She reportedly told officers that she had had one drink on an empty stomach. She was on her way to get a burger when she was stopped. Hilton said she hadn't eaten all day because she was filming a music video.
The hotel heiress and socialite has no prior DUI arrests. If convicted, she could be sentenced to six months in jail and fined one-thousand dollars. The minimum penalty for a first-time offender is a fine, probation and rehab.
How about instead, and I know this sounds cruel, the court makes her listen to her album, while watching all the seasons of the Simple Life. That'll teach her to starve all day and drive, in hopes of competing with anorexic pal Nicole Ritchie!

The Next Diana: Kate Middleton

We knew it wouldn't be long before the British public found a new muse and the Paparazzi a new victim.
Kate Middleton, the much publicized girlfriend of Prince William, had to be rescued by a small army of security people after she was surrounded by Paparazzi at a night club when she was spotted with her prince, as reported by FashionWatch.
Kate, who is about to celebrate her 25th birthday, seems prepared to assume a higher profile as his future consort. From this point on comparisons to Princess Di can only be evitable. The media have started to scrutinize her every move. Although she is not yet considered a fashion icon her classic and somewhat demure style is being noticed and imitated. The young Diana was not considered a trend setter at first but slowly grew into the role. Kate is expected to do the same.
Hopefully this fairy tale romance will have a much happier ending.

Trump: Is It All a Publicity Stunt?

Donald Trump recently chewed out Meredith Viera on the "Today" show where he was promoting "The Apprentice," by saying: "Here we are talking about 'The Apprentice' and you want to talk about Rosie, and you shouldn't mention them in the same breath."

But does anyone else find it even a little bit, shall we say, odd, that the sudden anger of "The Donald" is perfectly timed with the release of his beloved reality show.
Would he really risk his reputation and go on this rampage if it wasn't for the publicity?

A new 25-square-mile island

An enormous ice shelf broke away from Ellesmere Island in the Canadian Arctic last year, researchers said, warning it could be another symptom of global warming.

The 66-square-kilometer (25.5-square-mile) ice island tore away from Ellesmere, a huge strip of land in the Canadian Arctic close to Greenland.

The break was so violent that it caused tremors that were detected by Canadian seismographs 250 kilometers (155 miles) away, but no one was able to pinpoint what had happened until now.

"In the past, we looked to climate change and thought perhaps ice shelves ... would just melt apart by losing a little piece day by day, but it now seems that when you reach some kind of threshold, when you reach that level, the whole thing just breaks apart," geographer Luke Copland told the National Post. Eerie.

72 degrees in NYC!!!

Wow - it's 72 degrees in New York City today! It's well into January and people are wearing shorts and t-shirts! Feel like there's nothing you can do to stop the destruction of our planet? Not true! There's lots you can do to help! Here are some energy-saving tips to combat global warming that we should all follow:

1) Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

By recycling half of your household waste, you can save 2,400 pounds of carbon dioxide annually.

2) Use Less Heat and Air Conditioning

Setting your thermostat just 2 degrees lower in winter and higher in summer could save about 2,000 pounds of carbon dioxide each year.

3) Change a Light Bulb

Wherever practical, replace regular light bulbs with compact florescent light (CFL) bulbs.

4) Drive Less and Drive Smart

Every gallon of gas you save not only helps your budget, it also keeps 20 pounds of carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere.

5) Buy Energy-Efficient Products

If you reduce your household garbage by 10 percent, you can save 1,200 pounds of carbon dioxide annually.

6) Use Less Hot Water

Buy low-flow showerheads to save hot water and about 350 pounds of carbon dioxide yearly.

7) Use the "Off" Switch

Remember to turn off lights, f
