Phallic Undertones of Prince and His Guitar

The Super Bowl halftime show sought to provide uncontroversial entertainment directed towards football fans, but now a dispute has sprang up that may rival Ashlee Simpson's controversial Orange Bowl performance.

The widely acclaimed rock star, Prince, had his shadow projected onto a large sheet as part of his solo. As the solo began, the silhouette that was cast onto the sheet apparently looked rather phallic, causing critics to call to alarm the "distastefulness" of the show.

Whether or not it was an accident, Prince has toned down his performances from the past few years and yet for some, even possible accidents are calls for alarm.
