Alexander Wang Fall 2007 Ready-to-Wear Collection

As the Fall 2007 Ready-to-Wear collections are being revealed to the public one-by-one, I must admit that I have a soft spot for the up-and-coming designer, Alexander Wang. He attended my school, and I'm awed at how a little boy from the high-tech surroundings of Silicon Valley is now presenting his works at New York City Fashion Week.

Alexander Wang became known first for his extremely luxurious 100% cashmere knits, but it's obvious that his talents extend beyond that. In this collection, he incorporates his zeal for casual and comfortable street style with a twinge of Parisian elegance and usage of luxurious fabrics. His collection for men and women is both edgy and yet subtle, by the detailing in the folds and prints and the simple lines of each piece.

Extremely wearable and versatile, Alexander Wang has the potential to become a household name not only among fashionistas.
