Britney and Paris make a great pair

Britney Spears made the most of her first big night out as a singleton after the American Music Awards on Wednesday with none other then new best-bud Paris Hilton (just when you thought she couldn't sink lower than her ex K-Fed).
First she flashed her newly trim(mer) tummy in LA club Teddy's, in a turquoise bellydancer's outfit. Then she slipped into a leopard spot dress and had a wild time with her pal Paris. Unfortunately, Britney got a little tipsy and flashed her white undies getting out of their car. Still, at least she was wearing 'em!
UPDATE: Just two days later she got snapped flashing sans undies. What is it with trashy young celebs wearing shot skirts without undies infront of paparazzi?

Looking for something unique? (if by unique we mean gaudy)

What better to snap oodles of pictures at your Thanksgiving feast than with a gravy-proof (and gold-plated) SLR? Taking a note from the bevy of other Midas-touched gizmos out there, the Asahi Pentax LX Gold sports a thoroughly blinding paint job with faux-alligator accents to add an extra layer of tacky to an already gaudy device. Apparently aiming to bring back a taste of 1981 (when the 10 millionth Pentax SLR rolled off the production line; pictured after the jump), the company is seemingly reintroducing the vivid shooter to celebrate 60 years of staying afloat. Of course, we aren't sure how many of these splendiferous units will be offered up (or wanted at all), but we're sure it'll rock quite a premium for those somehow interested.

Keeping your password safe on shared computers

Private university Carnegie Mellon has written up an interesting method for keeping your passwords safe from keyloggers at public computers.
The trick:
Between successive keys of the password we will enter random keys. In the spirit of chaffing and winnowing, the string that the keylogger receives will contain the password, but embedded in so much random junk that discovering it is infeasible.
Between successive keys of the password we will enter random keys. In the spirit of chaffing and winnowing, the string that the keylogger receives will contain the password, but embedded in so much random junk that discovering it is infeasible.
The idea is, for each character of your password you type, you also type several random characters in another field in your browser. Using this method, the authors demonstrate how a password like snoopy2 becomes spqmlainsdgsosdgfsodgfdpuouuyhdg2 in the eyes of a keylogger. Of the five keylogging programs tested, none of them captured the correct passwords when this method was employed.

Lindsay Lohan Cocaine Overdose

The Enquirer reports that an out-of-control Lindsay Lohan overdosed on a deadly cocktail of cocaine and painkillers on Nov. 12.

A doctor raced to Hollywood's Chateau Marmont after a friend of the 20-year-old actress found her unconscious in a drug-filled hotel room.
Although the doctor was able to revive the hard-partying star, he was horrified to discover a "stash of cocaine and a pile of prescription drugs" in the room. The doctor flushed the cocaine down the toilet and bagged up seven different prescription drugs, according to the insider.

"The doctor insisted, 'This girl had a serious drug overdose. She has to go into a hospital and then into rehab.'"
Lindsay refused to be treated at a hospital or enter rehab.

Paris pukes on stage

According to Joshua Radin, Paris Hilton was "performing" in Las Vegas when she puked on stage. Radin was in Vegas with the cast of "Scrubs" and went to a club to see Jay-Z perform. He writes on his MySpace:
"Paris Hilton ...was sitting next to me the whole night. Seriously, next to me, like our legs were touching for a good 5 hours," Radin wrote on his MySpace site.
"Now don't get the wrong idea. She never once said hello, nor even looked in my direction. Five hours. And it was unreal to watch. She must have pulled a compact out of her bag every 6 minutes to stare at herself and pose while Jay-Z was performing 18 inches from us."
When Jay-Z left the stage, according to Radin, it was Hilton's moment.
"Paris, who had been swilling straight vodka from [a] Grey Goose bottle for hours, gets up on stage, has the people in charge throw her 'record' on the house stereo for her to lip sync two of her songs," writes Radin. "She gets up on the stage, pukes, leaves. . . I find the music business charming.

How to winterproof your skin

But it seems people often neglect their most important shield from the icy months of winter – their skin! Skin is a natural barrier from harmful agents in the air and it should be treated with the care it deserves. The combination of exposure to cold, windy air outdoors and the dry heat indoors can leave skin looking scaly and blotchy. However, tweaking your daily skin care rules with a few simple steps can prepare your skin for the upcoming winter weather. Read more...
